We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about our current or prior customers and consumers requesting products or services to those employees who need to know such information (e.g., to process transactions or provide services). Employees are required to honor our code of conduct, which includes standards to protect customer confidentiality. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that meet and/or exceed federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information.
Visitors to our website remain anonymous unless they register for a service or otherwise elect to disclose their identity to us. Although we do not collect personally identifying information about persons who simply visit our site, we do collect certain limited information about visitors, such as their IP address.
Cathay Bank will honor any "do not track" option set by you on your browser, in accordance with the requirements of California Business and Professions Code Section 22575.
Cathay Bank does not permit third parties to collect information about an individual consumer's online activities over time and across different web sites when a consumer uses our web site or service.
We feel strongly about protecting the privacy of children and teenagers. As such, we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from minors through our website.
We do not sell nonpublic personal information to anyone. We may disclose information we collect with affiliates and nonaffiliated third parties that are acting on our behalf, or as permitted by law.
Our contracts contain confidentiality agreements that obligate the nonaffiliated third parties to keep confidential any information about our customers that is provided to them and prohibit them from disclosing or using the information other than to carry out the purposes for which they receive the information.
